To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Head Legal, Vedanta Jharsuguda.

Roles and Responsibilities

Handling cases of Civil/ Industrial/ Commercial/ Criminal/ Environment/ Mining/ Labour / Property & Land Law mattersWork closely with the external counsels, Solicitors firms, state and central authorities to achieve optimal solutions and contribution to businessEnsure Compliance of statutory requirements under various Acts, especially Environmental laws, mining laws, industrial laws, labour Laws and Tax statutesRendering legal opinion/advice and independent handling of various matters related to Labour dispute, Property disputes and various other functions & Commercial disputes, recovery actions by engagement of Counsels & briefing themEffective Litigation management and partnering with business goalsDevelop second line of command at Unit level by identifying and grooming high potential and high-performance individualsOrganize training on all applicable Laws and Policies to increase regulatory awareness

Education Qualification | Work-Ex| Desired Attributes

Graduate in LLB years of experienceThorough knowledge of Indian Legal SystemExhaustive knowledge of Indian Power Sector and RegulationsSuperior Leadership and managerial skillsWorking knowledge of English and Singapore lawExcellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
