Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Technical Manager specializing in FPGA-based embedded systems design, development, and testing. The ideal candidate will lead and supervise embedded systems projects end-to-end, with a specific focus on hardware development. This role encompasses system bring-up, BSP porting, driver implementation, bare-metal code development, Linux OS adaptation, and kernel configuration on FPGA platforms.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:
- Supervise FPGA-based embedded systems projects, ensuring on-time delivery and cost control.
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including hardware and software engineers, to achieve project objectives.

System Design and Development:
- Design FPGA-based embedded systems while considering hardware limitations and project needs.
- Manage the creation of BSPs, drivers, bare-metal code, and Linux kernel for FPGA devices.
- Develop and utilize software tools for C/C++ and Python like Gcc tools, Pycharm, Eclipse, and VS Code.
- Implement tools for Linting, Memory leak detection, and Code coverage evaluation.
- Conduct remote debugging using embedded boards.

Testing and Troubleshooting:
- Formulate comprehensive testing approaches for embedded systems, covering hardware, functionality, and system integration.
- Lead troubleshooting activities to address hardware and software issues in FPGA systems.
- Utilize FPGA tools from AMD Xilinx, Intel for design, development, and testing.

System Bring-Up and Porting:
- Oversee the system bring-up process on FPGA platforms, ensuring seamless hardware and software integration.
- Lead the porting of BSPs, drivers, bare-metal code, Linux OS, and kernels across various FPGA architectures.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Promote effective team and stakeholder communication to maintain project clarity and progress visibility.
- Engage with other departments like research and development to integrate advanced technologies into embedded systems projects.

Documentation:
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for design specifications, testing strategies, and project summaries.
- Ensure accessibility and currency of all relevant documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrate expertise in FPGA-based embedded systems design, development, and testing.
- Possess strong knowledge of hardware design principles and FPGA structures.
- Have skills in BSP development, driver programming, bare-metal code creation, and Linux kernel adaptation.
- Proficiency in FPGA programming languages like VHDL, Verilog, and experience with FPGA development tools.
- Familiarity with hardware description languages (HDL) and hardware simulation software.
- Exhibit exceptional project management and leadership capabilities.
- Showcase effective communication and collaboration proficiencies.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-speed communication protocols such as PCIe and Ethernet.
- Knowledge of signal processing algorithms and their FPGA implementation.
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance criteria in embedded systems development.
