  • Specific Job Requirements
  • These reusable IT system services and capabilities enable the BT CFUs to automate the provision, test & diagnostics, trouble ticketing, billing / mediation and network performance reporting of their core voice products and services.
  • The role holder is also responsible for the solution design of the IT system services that provide numbering capabilities and enable BT CFUs to automate numbering requirements adhering to UK/Global regulations and launch voice products in the market quickly
  • What I'll be doing your accountabilities?
  • Set technical direction for the L2C Provision,T2R and Numbering Domain, responsible for the solution designs, key design decisions and supporting the deployed solution.
  • Work with the primary stakeholders (e.g. CTIO, Product Managers, Technology Ops) to design and deliver a roadmap of IT system services that enable the launch of new propositions that exploit the network.
  • Translate business and derived requirements (both functional and nonfunctional) into a coherent design that integrates all aspects of the solution (network, system, process and people) and ensure it works endtoend.
  • Provide design assurance ensuring the solution is aligned with the BT enterprise / platform architecture and follows strategy, policies and standards.
  • Ensure that the Domain solution designs are high quality, costeffective and delivered on time.
  • Follow an agile methodology, providing iterative software design and delivery using user stories across a number of releases.
  • Responsible for design decisions covering how multiple components will work together to provide a solution that fulfils the needs of the customer.
  • Advise business leads on how to breakdown large and complex solutions into logical deliverables that maximise automation.

Experience you would be expected to have

  • MANDATORY: Engineering/Science degree qualification or equivalent.
  • MANDATORY: Extensive professional systems solution design experience, with deep knowledge of software engineering.
  • MANDATORY: A proven track record in designing and supporting the delivery of large scale, complex, integrated systems solutions.
  • MANDATORY: Over 8 years of experience of designing end to end automated solutions in the context of telco business processes e.
g. service provision and service assurance.

  • PREFERRED: Product modelling using BT PMF (or equivalent) and E2E provision orchestration design.
  • PREFERRED: Experience of designing solutions that integrate with fixed and mobile networks, especially IMS.
