Job Objective:

As an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Implementation Engineer/Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of OCI environments for our organization's cloud-based applications and services. Your primary focus will be on managing the infrastructure and resources necessary to support development, testing, staging, and production environments on OCI.

Job Description:

Reporting to Consulting Practice Manager (CGBU) –Key responsibilities include :-

Key Skills:

Certifications : Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certifications (., OCI Architect Associate . Tools/Tech: Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related services. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, networking, security, and virtualization technologies. Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (., Python, Bash). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with development and operations teams to define OCI environment requirements for OFSAA projects and applications. Design OCI environments, considering scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. Create and maintain detailed documentation related to OCI environment configurations and architecture. OCI Environment Provisioning and Configuration: Implement automated provisioning and configuration management for OCI resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. Set up and configure OCI compute instances, storage volumes, networking, load balancers, and other services as required for different environments. Ensure consistency and reproducibility in environment setups across different stages of the development lifecycle.

Environment Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor the performance and health of OCI environments, promptly identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks. Implement proactive measures to optimize resource utilization, cost efficiency, and overall performance of OCI resources. Conduct periodic reviews and capacity planning exercises to ensure environments meet current and future demands.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard OCI environments against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Regularly review and update security configurations and access controls as needed.

General:

Collaborate with application development, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with OCI environments. Respond to incidents and outages related to OCI environments promptly, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions. Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate incident resolution and post-mortem analysis.
