Responsibilities

  • Assist farmers in planning and managing crop production, including crop selection,
rotation, and planting schedules.

  • Optimize cultivation practices for improved yield and resource efficiency.
  • Conduct soil analysis to assess fertility levels and provide recommendations for soil
health improvement.

  • Advise on appropriate soil management practices to enhance crop growth.
  • Identify and diagnose crop diseases and pest infestations.
  • Develop integrated pest management strategies and recommend appropriate control
measures.

  • Recommend sustainable nutrient management practices to enhance soil fertility.
  • Advise on efficient irrigation practices, considering water conservation and crop water
requirements.

  • Help farmers implement suitable irrigation systems for their crops.
  • Stay abreast of agricultural technologies and recommend digital tools to enhance
farming practices.

  • Assist farmers in adopting and utilizing technology for precision farming.
  • Collect and analyze data related to crop performance, environmental conditions, and
other relevant factors.

  • Generate reports and insights to aid farmers in decisionmaking.
  • Engage with farmers through the app to understand their needs and provide timely
support.

  • Build strong relationships with users and address their inquiries professionally.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for farmers to educate them on best
agronomic practices.

  • Keep farmers informed about the latest developments and innovations in agriculture.

  • B.Sc. in Agriculture with a focus on Agronomy.
  • Practical experience in agronomy or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of crop science, agronomic principles, and agricultural practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with farmers.
  • Proficiency in English and Tamil.
  • Familiarity with modern farming technologies and tools.
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting data and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, and MS Office.
  • Good timemanagement skills
  • Knowledge of Crop insects, diseases, Chemical and Fertilizer
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
