Mercer is hiring for below role for Gurgaon location

Key duties will include the following:

  • Support the senior Custody consultant with consulting projects to clients with a direct Custodian relationship
  • Assist with responses to clients and Mercer consultant's technical queries on products and services offered by custodian banks
  • Produce client quarterly or halfyearly custodian monitoring reports
  • Liaise with custody banks to organise and collate the annual Request for Information (RFI) via an online tool
  • Assist with the review and score of responses provided by custody banks for annual RFI process
  • Support the prospect tender process and pitches while collaborating with internal resources to maximize effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral relating to Mercer Custody Consulting Services
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of cost effective consulting solutions and products which meet the client and regional Mercer business needs
  • Ensure client and prospect work is delivered to a high standard and following company and business peer review requirements
  • Any other adhoc projects/duties and business development focused activity as required.
  • Ongoing market awareness of global and local custody services and providers that service clients
  • Contribute to Mercer intellectual capital through white papers on custody market trends and service development
  • Expect occasional travel to other Mercer offices outside of India
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required for this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in working across various Custodian bank services
  • Solid knowledge of the custodian bank services and products provided to asset owners, asset managers, insurance firms and other financial intermediaries in UK and Europe
  • Industry network of clients and market participants across UK and Europe
  • The ability to build working relationships to influence and persuade at senior level (internal and external)
  • Possesses excellent team working skills including outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in a global working environment
  • Taking ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met while keeping others informed and uptodate
  • Works well under pressure and exhibits excellent organisational/time management skills
  • Openly shares information and own expertise with colleagues
  • Selfmotivated with an eagerness to learn and demonstrate a positive work ethic
  • Highly disciplined, proactive, with a results driven focus
  • Challenges existing practices and conventional thinking
  • University level education or equivalent required
  • Professional qualification (CFA, Actuarial, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
