Key duties will include the following:Support the senior Custody consultant with consulting projects to clients with a direct Custodian relationshipAssist with responses to clients and Mercer consultant's technical queries on products and services offered by custodian banksProduce client quarterly or half-yearly custodian monitoring reportsLiaise with custody banks to organise and collate the annual Request for Information (RFI) via an online toolAssist with the review and score of responses provided by custody banks for annual RFI processSupport the prospect tender process and pitches while collaborating with internal resources to maximize effectivenessDevelop and maintain marketing collateral relating to Mercer Custody Consulting ServicesAssist with the development and maintenance of cost effective consulting solutions and products which meet the client and regional Mercer business needsEnsure client and prospect work is delivered to a high standard and following company and business peer review requirementsAny other ad-hoc projects/duties and business development focused activity as required.

Ongoing market awareness of global and local custody services and providers that service clientsContribute to Mercer intellectual capital through white papers on custody market trends and service developmentExpect occasional travel to other Mercer offices outside of India

The following skills, experience and qualifications are required for this role:Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in working across various Custodian bank servicesSolid knowledge of the custodian bank services and products provided to asset owners, asset managers, insurance firms and other financial intermediaries in UK and EuropeIndustry network of clients and market participants across UK and EuropeThe ability to build working relationships to influence and persuade at senior level (internal and external)Possesses excellent team working skills including outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in a global working environmentTaking ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met while keeping others informed and up-to-dateWorks well under pressure and exhibits excellent organisational/time management skillsOpenly shares information and own expertise with colleaguesSelf-motivated with an eagerness to learn and demonstrate a positive work ethicHighly disciplined, proactive, with a results driven focusChallenges existing practices and conventional thinkingUniversity level education or equivalent requiredProfessional qualification (CFA, Actuarial, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) preferredThorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
