As part of the strategy design vertical, the group aids clients in formulating their business strategy focusing on achieving topline growth through organic and inorganic growth routes. The strategy development includes deep sector expertise, market & value chain assessment, competitive benchmarking, risk-return evaluation, assessment of transaction potential, regulatory landscape evaluation leading to the drafting of strategies covering operating/business models, feasibility, and options analysis. The Group focuses on both inbound/outbound growth, M&A, and Private Equity, also assisting clients in operationalizing business strategies and models. Commercial Diligence/Business Plan Validation follows a similar execution approach.

The RoleThe M&A Consulting Group seeks to recruit a dynamic individual to steer growth and engagement delivery in its strategy vertical with a spotlight on the Energy and Infrastructure Industry. The candidate must have exposure to one or more sub-verticals such as power (G,T, D), renewable energy, clean technology, energy transition, EV infrastructure, highways, ports, and logistics. A profound comprehension and expertise in renewable and clean tech sectors are essential.
The individual would be responsible for leading engagements by closely collaborating with clients across the group's focused services and supporting business development efforts. The position demands the ability to independently interact with clients on sectoral and assignment aspects, mentor a team of consultants and analysts for assignment delivery. The appointee should be adept at supporting business pitches and proposals, as well as franchise building. Proficiency in developing and delivering high-impact reports and presentations and engaging with senior client representatives is crucial.
Moreover, the candidate will also be involved in the following activities:
- Developing staff
- Shaping practice strategy
- Evaluating and managing risks arising from engagement selection and delivery
- Staying updated on sector/market trends, M&A intelligence, and sector competition
- Building a robust network with peers and experts in the field
- Representing the firm in seminars/conferences
