Description
Seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented board design engineer to develop Micron's next generation Solid State Drive (SSD) products. This position requires experience in hardware architecture, design, signal integrity and power supply design.

This would include modeling and simulation for high speed signaling implementations and power supply design including power distribution network (PDN) simulations.

A successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of:

state of the art memory device technologies, interfaces such as SATA, SAS, PCIe Gen 3&4, ONFI and implementation techniques required for high-speed interfaces.

In addition, this candidate will have a good working knowledge of Buck and boost power supply designs. Experience with PCB design tools (Cadence PCB design and analysis, including Si/Pi). Expertise in the design for optimum signal and power integrity as well as hands-on lab experience.

Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment.

Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.

Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.

Must be proficient navigating in various operating systems such as Linux, Unix, CentOS, Windows10 or later, Windows Sever. Must be proficient in using MS products such as Office365, SharePoint, Teams etc.

This person will work individually as well as part of a team and will need to work well with others.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN 2 – (AUSTIN, TX)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
