Scrum Master

Position SummaryThe Scrum Master is responsible for instilling Agile principles across the team and providing agile coaching across Berkadia as an organization.
This includes guiding the team through all Scrum events (Planning, Standup, Reviews and Retrospectives) and working relentlessly to remove any blockers or impediments being encountered by the team.
The Scrum Master must be creative, energetic and passionate about Agile and Scrum and have a good understanding on how to scale Agile across the larger organization.
Note that the ideal candidate for this role is an individual who has worked as a software developer and understands the technical complexities of new product development.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties (Primary Responsibilities) include the following.Doing everything to delight our customersEncouraging an environment of team self-organizationMaintaining light-weight metrics for the purposes of inspecting and adaptingBuilding a trusting environment that encourages collaboration and creativityFacilitating conversation between the development team members and the end usersFacilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolutionSupporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Being an overall servant leader to the teamTraining and coaching Agile and Scrum principals to both team members and individuals in the larger Berkadia environment, including senior leadershipOther duties as assigned.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises non-supervisory employee(s).Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws._________________________________________________________________________________________________QualificationsQualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
