Shiloah Therapy and Learning Centre was started with a purpose to improve lives of children with special needs by delivering effective evidence based interventions by qualified therapists.


Our therapy centre, based in Koramangala, Bengaluru, serves children and young people with a diverse range of mild to severe developmental needs, including autism, physical, visual and/or hearing disabilities, and learning disabilities.

The highly customized programmes at Shiloah Therapy and Learning Centre adopt a holistic developmental curriculum in the areas of language and communication skills, cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, fine and gross motor skills, and adaptive daily living skills.


Our mission is to decrease the challenges faced and enhance the lives of individuals with ASD and children with various challenges and their families by providing one-to-one instruction, education, training, guidance, and resources.


The role:
We are looking for a qualified

Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist with 2+ years

of experience working with children on the spectrum and various speech disorders.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties;Perform assessments for speech-language disorders for special children with one or multiple disorder like speech delays, Autism, Learning disabilities etc.;Develop and implement effective individualised plans for children;Establish understanding, expectations, and goals with parents of children;Familiarity with a variety of speech, language and cognitive disorders like stuttering, child language disorders etc.;On an ongoing basis, keep abreast with profession knowledge and skill upgradation by reviewing publications, recent therapy skills and undergoing certifications;Provide caregiver consultation as needed and meet with caregivers throughout;Ensure the safety and well-being of kids;Implement and provide therapy sessions to kids utilising behavior-analytic principles;Occasionally, kids exhibit more aggressive behaviours, so it is important that you're comfortable working with kids on the spectrum;Design and revise cold probes and goals;Primary work would be conducting one-on-one therapy sessions for kids;Maintain and update individual and group records during sessions;Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with parents, caregivers and relevant stakeholders;Establish and maintains a safe, orderly, and child-centered environment;Attend and participate in team meetings and staff meetings.


Requirements:
A

Bachelors or Master's Degree


in the area of Speech language Pathology or Audiology or a related field;Can adapt accordingly to meet the needs of individual students;Experience with OPD techniques;Practical experience with the Avaz application;Able to work on site 5.5 days a week;Mandatory: Fluency in English, Desired: Fluency in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil;A passion for working with children.
