Are you interested in defending businesses from cyber threats and honing your skills as a mobile software engineer?

We are a dynamic engineering squad that aids customers in integrating security technologies into their mobile applications. F5 Distributed Cloud (XC) furnishes a range of services including DDoS protection, WAF, bot defense, and fraud prevention. Our team specializes in the mobile application segment of these offerings.
As a member of our team, you will gain exposure to various mobile frameworks and architectures. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers facing integration challenges, investigating crashes, locating bugs, and communicating requirements to Product Management and Engineering teams. This role will enable you to enhance both your technical prowess and communication abilities. Your analytical skills will play a pivotal role in steering the product development roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Foundational knowledge of computer architecture, OS-hardware interactions, software architecture, and development lifecycles
  • Proficiency in Android and/or iOS Development (experience in both is advantageous)
  • Skills in Java, Swift, Objective-C, Python, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of secure software development practices
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Mobile App debugging and performance profiling
  • Experience with SQL and database-driven applications
  • Ability to work independently with a collaborative mindset

Advanced Skills

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Swift, Kotlin, C, JavaScript, Python, and SQL
  • Experience in identifying root causes of crashes and anomalies
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and OSI stack
  • Experience in analyzing extensive data feeds
  • Capability in recognizing indicators of malicious activities
  • Background in secure software development and penetration testing

Responsibilities

Technical Escalations

  • Manage technical customer escalations related to F5 Mobile SDK
  • Identify the root causes of crashes
  • Analyze mobile network traffic and telemetry data to detect integration problems, product issues, or potential cyber attacks

Consulting Work

  • Offer technical guidance to clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate within the organization to enhance operational efficiency
  • Create tutorials and enhance product documentation

Technical Research

  • Explore mobile technologies like cross-platform frameworks or low-code platforms
  • Evaluate competitor product offerings in terms of technology and security capabilities
  • Share insights and innovative concepts to enhance F5's services and contribute to enhancements
