Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of NAV for Clients who have outsourced their Fund Accounting to JPM.

This role involves understanding and executing end to end activities that comprises of performing pre-NAV activities, exceptions clearing and managing Client inquiries.

Timely and appropriate escalation of actual/ potential delays and issues with the Supervisors and Mgmt

Subject Matter Expert for the team in terms of the domain

Individual contributor role to perform and review daily BAU

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day operations and completion of all deliverables on timely and accurately manner.
  • Review of day to day activities in accordance of SOPs & within agreed client SLA.
  • Overall Domain Expert to guide team for all queries and questions
  • In depth knowledge of Accounting functions(Cap Stock/Expense/Distribution)
  • Interaction with stakeholders to respond to any accounting related queries that may arise. Recognize and act on opportunities to improve processes including developing and making recommendations for change and encourage the team to come with ideas for efficiency.
  • Provide leadership & ownership for all escalations, audits, client due diligences etc.
  • Establish policies, procedures and guidelines which comply with internal and external controls to ensure that the statements and work to continuously strengthen the controls environment
  • Consistently assess Training Needs for the team to ensure effective cross trainings reported through Skills Metrics
  • Ensure Stakeholder Management with onshore and Governance teams through effective Service Delivery and proactive approach towards client requirements
  • Establish policies, procedures and guidelines which comply with internal and external controls to ensure that the statements and work to continuously strengthen the controls environment

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of Mutual Funds, Capital Markets and related terminologies
  • Strong analytical capabilities and MS Office skills
  • Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
  • Good Time Management Skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

  • MBA/Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Overall 8 years of experience in Banking/ Investment Banking operations & fund accounting
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in handling teams is desirable
