About the Role

:

Position summary & Main tasks/activities:

We are looking for an energetic leader who is tech-savvy, customer-focused, value driven and loves working with international teams to deliver exceptional data exchange products at fast pace? You will work with a team consisting of highly skilled and experienced data exchange engineering experts based in multiple locations.

The Data Exchange unit will be newly established to drive the data exchange technology strategy and delivery of world-class solutions. This unit will be part of the Data Foundation Department with Group Data Services. You will be a member of the Data Foundation department management team to drive the wider context of data foundational topics.

You will be working very closely together with Enterprise Architecture and other tech units to achieve a joint strategy for data exchange solutions and technology. Your team will be instrumental to deliver and operate solutions for group-wide data exchange. Technology is quickly advancing, and you stay on top of the development to advance the data exchange strategy and solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

Create a strategy for data exchange solutions Lead a global team of highly skilled data exchange experts with software and data engineering expertise Drive adoption of the defined data exchange strategy and provide data exchange solutions as a service Ensure operational rigor for existing data exchange solutions Evaluate and prioritize requirements of customers (business domains and group functions) Proactively drive innovative ideas and get support from team and stakeholders Bring in an outside-in view about latest developments Define and track the KPIs to measure success as well as team and customer satisfaction Drive an agile and value-oriented working culture

About the Team:

You will be joining a team of data experts and enthusiasts aiming for creating the most impact from data for Swiss Re and its partners. The Data Foundations team manages and advances business critical data solutions and platforms to drive data integration, data exchange and data quality.

About you:

Besides being a technology enthusiast and an experienced leader that drives ideas to successfully delivered solutions, you bring the following experience

University degree (bachelor with equivalent business experience), in Computer Science Information Management or equal education or equivalent experience Strong experience in Data Exchange technology (batch, real-time, message based Hands-on engineering experience with platforms like Informatica PowerCenter, Azure Data Factory, Foundry Magritte etc. is beneficial Energized by developing people and teams Great self-starter and collaborator energy Strong analytical & conceptual skills Engaging and effective communication skills at all levels of leadership Ability to motivate others across teams and units English fluency is a must Readiness for close teamwork cross multiple locations
