Job Title: Manager – India Procurement Center



Location: Bengaluru, Manyata Tech Park

Impact & Contribution:

As a Manager, you will be a crucial part of the newly restructured GROUP PROCUREMENT team. You will play a key role in supporting sourcing activities for Banking & Corporate Services (B&CS) across various categories, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal customers within CBA in different regions. The GROUP PROCUREMENT team helps clients achieve their business objectives by delivering benefits, managing risks, and applying specialized knowledge across the procurement lifecycle.



Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive category strategy.
  • Proactively enhance expertise in various areas such as business category and specific business supply market details, negotiation tactics, and contracting approaches.
  • Achieve set targets through strategic procurement plans, including conducting RFXs and commercial evaluations.
  • Utilize data and insights to drive business performance improvements.
  • Implement effective performance management strategies for sub-categories and suppliers.
  • Promote a 'whole of Group' approach and advocate for strategies that add value to the organization.
  • Identify tools and processes to optimize procurement and enhance productivity.
  • Ensure clear definition and recording of savings and benefits.
  • Efficiently manage supplier transition and implementation.
  • Develop stakeholder management capabilities within the team.

Leadership-

  • Collaborate with GROUP PROCUREMENT and BU Leadership Team to execute procurement strategy.
  • Promote compliance with Bank-wide and Procurement processes and technologies.
  • Advocate for GROUP PROCUREMENT within the business and industry network.

Risk Management-

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of risk and implement appropriate governance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, procedures, and external legislative requirements.


Essential Skills:

  • Risk Mindset – Proactively identify, discuss, and address current and future risks.
  • Minimum 9-10 years of experience in sourcing and category management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and PC skills.
  • Proficiency in leading procurement technology.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Innovative thinking and lateral problem-solving skills.
  • Capability in procurement-related risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.


Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher
