Introduction

Lam Research is a top global manufacturer of capital equipment used in creating cutting-edge semiconductors worldwide. The company specializes in deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean technologies. With a strong focus on expanding its talent pool, Lam Research established an Engineering center in Bangalore two decades ago, which now encompasses Hardware, Software, and Operations. Part of this center is LIGO (Lam India Global Operations), a functional group dedicated to manufacturing engineering, cost performance engineering, supply chain, logistics, spares operations, planning, inventory management, and supplier QA engineering. The team collaborates to provide top-notch solutions for Lam's global operations.

Lam India is currently seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the LIGO Manufacturing Engineering team in Bangalore. This role will involve direct reporting to the team leader and close collaboration with Global Manufacturing sites.

The LIGO Manufacturing Engineers work with build factories globally to design and develop fixtures, ensure build readiness, and resolve assembly issues, all in the pursuit of manufacturing excellence through continuous improvement and innovation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Global Manufacturing Engineering leadership/teams to identify projects and align with global factories on project success criteria.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in successful project execution, blending technical excellence with strategic planning.
  • Partner with global factory network to understand process requirements and drive value through standardization.
  • Own Continuous Improvement projects from inception to impactful results.
  • Coach and train teams across geographies in process methodologies and best practices.
  • Drive change management for sustainable program success.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation and data analytics in manufacturing.
  • Present manufacturing-related projects at sub-BPM forums for support in enterprise applications development.
  • Conduct meetings to update factory leaders on project progress, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's / Master's in Mechanical / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering with 12-18 years of industry experience.
  • Track record of managing complex technical projects/programs effectively.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving solutions-oriented culture.
  • Strong Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and translating findings into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Semiconductor / Wafer fabrication equipment industry.
  • Understanding of manufacturing process, equipment, and systems.
  • PMP certification with proficiency in Project Management tools.
  • Experience in problem-solving tools such as 8Ds, Fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
