Department Overview

Office of Head of Technology (OHOT) supports Technology so that the organization provides a competitive advantage for the company. This support includes, but is not limited to, developing the technology strategy and monitoring its execution, governing investment optimization through portfolio management, and setting standards and best practices for data governance and quality.

This role is part of Technology Analytics group within the Office of Head of Technology (OHOT). The team is responsible for quality, governance, oversight, and inventory of Wells Fargo's data metrics required to manage the Business of Technology. We partner with executive leadership to deliver innovative and meaningful insights via enterprise class data and analytic solutions. We enable Technology data ingestion and consumption from the EDE to ensure quality data is available for critical decisions, resulting in better outcomes in alignment with the Technology 2022 Strategy and regulatory goals/requirements.

The Lead Scrum Master (Analytics) will be part of the Technology Analytics team and will be responsible for facilitating the agile scrum process on multiple scrum teams with cross-functional impacts. The key responsibilities include but not limited to as below

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop Scaled Agile portfolios of the highest complexity
  • Guide the teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
  • Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
  • Partner with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the teams and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Train other Scrum Masters and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Skills:
  • 10+ years as a practicing Scrum Master
  • Understanding of how to effectively partner/ collaborate with key stakeholders to mature the acceptance of accelerated delivery
  • Demonstrated reasonable level of technical and business understanding to optimize credibility with teams and managers
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical experience with JIRA (and JIRA Portfolio)
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Scaled Agile (SAFe, Scrum at Scale, LESS) experience is a plus
  • Change Management (PROSCI, Kotter, etc) is a plus
  • Capable of mentoring, facilitating and coaching application development teams to adopt Continuous Delivery practices such as TDD, BDD, Pair Programming, and other Lean/Agile Modeling Techniques
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles (CI/CD, testing automation, release automation)
  • Ability to leverage analytics to drive continuous improvement process within the team, ensuring that lessons learned are implemented effectively.
  • Expertise in using analytical tools and software that support Scrum and Agile methodologies, such as JIRA, Tableau, or Power BI.
