Business Technology Liaison


  • ICAnalyzes, defines, and prioritizes business requirements and operational specifications for moderate to large projects with increasing complexity.
Provides advice to all IT and business management areas on how to leverage technology to support business opportunities and strategic planning, implement cross-functional applications or systems. May assign/work distribution within a team/project.
Elicits, challenges, and prioritizes business requirements, translating them into functional design and use case documents. Develops project scope, objectives, constraints, and assumptions.

Plans and formulates development proposals, outline project objectives, identify existing applications for utilization, and specify equipment and human resource needs.

Participates in and guides the development of functional requirements and user documentation. Advises internal business units on requirements, functional architecture, and implementation. Leverages extensive knowledge of business needs to offer design assistance to software and application development teams.

Collects and analyzes data to help formulate recommendations addressing business goals across multiple business and technology domains.

Collaborates with business and tech teams to implement technology roadmaps for new or enhanced applications and systems of medium complexity.

Serves as the designated contact or subject matter expert for the business on specific systems.
Offers technical advice on the business impact of application development projects.

Assists in testing new or upgraded applications and systems, guiding junior team members in case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional testing. Possesses extensive knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies regarding risk and control to aid in enhancing business processes through subordinates, providing mentorship to less experienced peers.

Leads projects and delegates tasks accordingly.

Contributes to the accomplishment of related teams' goals.Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience combination preferred. Technical experience is a plus.
