Roles & responsibilities:

  • Regulates flow of water and electricity to control furnace temperature.
  • Slags molten metal and reads metal temperatures.
  • Pours metal into ladle sometimes using a hoist.
  • Reads and records melt operations.
  • Identifies casting flaws such as missrun, hot tears, scaling, etc. and determines procedures required to correct the defect.
  • Keeps metals separated into various categories and determines correctness of alloys.
  • Operates a Spectro graph for chemical analysis, as needed.
  • Relines furnaces with new crucibles, as needed.
  • Directs melt crew during pouring.
  • Responsible for the melt crew safety.
  • Handles daily routine maintenance on equipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Diploma or equivalent, preferred. Previous experience with induction melting is a plus.

Up to ₹22,000.00 per month
