Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Specialist at XYZ Company


About the Position:
The purpose of this role is to independently carry out daily payroll, compensation, and benefits tasks, address complex issues that may arise, and provide support to other C&B programs to ensure the effectiveness and alignment of practices with company requirements.


  • Knowledge of Statutory compliance, PF, ESI, and Gratuity

Principal Responsibilities:


  • Monthly Payroll Process:
    Follow C&B procedures and information security policies to accurately and efficiently complete the monthly payroll process independently. This includes processing overtime records, calculating salaries, declaring taxes, and preparing pay slips to ensure employees are paid correctly and punctually.

  • Vendor Coordination:
    Collaborate with vendors on payroll, flexi benefit payouts, statutory compliances, and NPS payouts. Maintain invoice trackers and initiate invoices on Workday.

  • Employee Services:
    Provide high-quality service to employees by delivering accurate individual income statements, addressing common and sensitive queries related to salary, WD processes, and C&B policies efficiently and correctly.

  • Report Generation & Data Support:
    Independently generate complex and periodic reports. Conduct data analysis on compensation and staffing models, offer support for advanced reports, analysis, and various yearly salary actions to enhance the team's data work efficiency.

  • Statutory Compliance:
    Assist the team with different projects and initiatives, such as new legislation in employment law and updating pertinent ER policies and practices. Review and analyze compliance data, prepare necessary compliance reports (governmental, internal, and audit), and support all internal and external audits.


Job Description:
As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, we are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a high sense of responsibility, good logical and analytical capabilities, proficient computer skills (especially in Advanced Excel), intermediate English skills (both verbal and written), flexibility to handle complex issues, good communication skills, and knowledge of India's payroll and statutory regulations. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality in all dealings is crucial.
