JobDescription

Thisis an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer. Youwill join a team delivering a design & development ofmodern data management tools to curate important data sets modelsand processes while identifying areas for process automation andfurther efficiencies for a key customer.

  • ABachelor or Master degree in a computational field (ComputerScience Applied Mathematics Engineering or in a relatedquantitativediscipline)
  • Strongobjectoriented design and programming skills and experience in OOlanguages (Python and/orJava)
  • Previousexperience in Data manipulation Data Analysis or DataModelling
  • Deepunderstanding of multidimensionality of data data curation and dataquality such as traceability security performance latency andcorrectness across supply and demandprocesses
  • Experienceor interest in functional programminglanguages
  • Relevantwork experience in a teamfocusedenvironment
  • Provenexperience applying domain driven design to build complex businessapplications
  • Indepthknowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases includingdatabasedesign
  • Generalknowledge of business processes data flows and the quantitativemodels that generate or consumedata
  • Excellentcommunications skills and the ability to work with subject matterexperts to extract critical businessconcepts
  • Independentthinker willing to engage challenge or learn
    Ability tostay commercially focused and to always push for quantifiablecommercialimpact

Qualifications

  • FinancialServices or Pharmaceutical industryexperience
  • Experiencein distributed systemdesign
  • ExperiencewithPure/Alloy
  • Workingknowledge of opensource tools such as AWS lambdaPrometheus
  • SparkHadoop or Snowflake knowledge would be aplus.
