About the Role

Managing our Bengaluru-based Data Science team, while also contributing to practical project work. The role will involve a split of around 60/40 between hands-on tasks and managerial duties.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and guiding a team of Data Scientists, fostering personal growth and professional development to retain talent.
  • Ensuring timely and successful completion of data science projects.
  • Collaborating with Software Engineering squads to deliver Data Science capabilities through innovative products & services.
  • Engaging with partners and stakeholders to devise new approaches and methodologies to achieve business goals.
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of data science roadmaps that align with customer and business objectives.
  • Managing data science projects from POC to MVP to production, utilizing modern agile methodologies and tools.
  • Ensuring data-driven outcomes by leveraging OKRs to envision big, start small, and expand rapidly.

Requirements

  • Possess experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and overseeing data science or analytics teams responsible for delivering, scaling, and operationalizing data and analytics products.
  • Display expertise in Data Science and/or Machine Learning, with the capacity to develop advanced models and implement them into production.
  • Understanding of common and innovative data preprocessing steps for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Data Science frameworks that facilitate the generation of new insights, advanced modeling techniques, and capabilities.
  • Experience conducting data science within a contemporary DevOps, MLOps, and data engineering environment.
