Your Role and Responsibilities

  • As an IBM Storage Administrator L2, he/she will assume a leadership role in the administration, optimization, and support of IBM storage systems within the organization. This advancedlevel position requires a comprehensive understanding of IBM storage principles, technologies, and best practices, as well as the ability to lead crossfunctional teams in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of storage infrastructure. You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an asneeded basis as part of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Storage Infrastructure Leadership: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IBM storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and tape libraries, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Storage Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize storage infrastructure, including storage pools, volumes, and data migration processes, to maximize efficiency and costeffectiveness.

Disaster Recovery:

Lead the design and implementation of data protection measures, including backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or disasters.


  • Storage Security: Develop and implement security measures to protect storage systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for storage systems and processes, including configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
  • Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise


5+ years of experience in IBM storage administration or related roles, with demonstrated leadership in administering and optimizing IBM storage systems.

Expertise in IBM storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and tape libraries, with proficiency in storage provisioning, performance management, and data protection.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Certification in IBM storage technologies (e.g., IBM Certified Specialist - Storage Administrator) preferred.

  • Required Education:
  • BE / B. Tech Computer Science, MCA or Equivalent / higher Qualification.
