Responsibilities:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of kindergarten students.
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behavior, active participation, and a sense of belonging among students.
Foster a love for learning through handson experiences, playbased learning, and exploration of diverse topics and themes.
Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and learning styles of students, including those with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues to support student progress, wellbeing, and schoolhome partnerships.
Assess student progress and development using a variety of methods, including observation, informal assessment, and authentic assessment tools.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate interdisciplinary units, special events, and enrichment activities that enhance the kindergarten experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education, pedagogy, and child development.
Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, student supervision, and classroom management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
State certification or licensure in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education.
Prior experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool or kindergarten setting.
Knowledge of early childhood development, emergent literacy, and numeracy concepts.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards teaching and learning.
Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
Commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for all students.
