The Position

As a Chapter Section Lead you will focus on the capabilities development of your section members that align with the chapter vision.

You will encourage your team to self-define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities in the direction of the journey.

You will understand the roles within your section to provide mentorship when needed.

What you'll be working on


The Infrastructure Reliability Engineering Chapter includes software engineering, system engineering, and system management capabilities focused on the design, delivery, maintenance and evolution of stable Infrastructure services for Roche.


We develop and maintain on-prem and cloud capabilities related to Databases, Voice & Data Networks, Compute, and Platforms & Storage.

These have a high degree of automation and can be consumed as code by Roche's applications and solutions.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERING

  • Understand the current and future needs of the Domains to develop the strategic direction of the chapter along with Chapter leadership by exploring and implementing new strategic capabilities to stay "evergreen"
  • Partner with Informatics peers to implement and adhere to guidelines, frameworks, and practices
  • Ensure that resources are available for the demand intake process to meet stakeholder needs and priorities

LEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCE

  • Act as a leader not just for your chapter but for your Informatics organization and your local Site.

IMPACT AND COMPLEXITY

  • People Leadership skills to manage a section of size between 18 and 25 internal employees plus externals
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve the demand intake process to optimize effective people mobilization of both FTE and external workforce

  • 5+ years of leadership experience and knowledge of IT Infrastructure and SW development
  • Bachelor or advanced degree
