We are currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).NTT DATA is seeking a senior SRE to join our global SRE practice.

This role combines expertise in software engineering with systems management. Ideal candidates have a solid computer science foundation and practical experience. They're comfortable with coding and system architecture and have a thorough grasp of software and hardware.

Key qualifications include:

Technical expertise :
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or JavaSystems knowledge : In-depth understanding of operating systems, networking, and cloud servicesExperience : Proven experience in managing large-scale distributed systems and understanding the principles of scalability and reliabilityDevOps practices : Familiarity with DevOps culture and practices and experience with CI/CD toolchainsTroubleshooting skills : Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and data

Certifications :

Industry certifications in cloud services, networking, or systems administrationSRE methods : Deep knowledge on SRE methods, including SLO/SLI, Blameless postmortems, toil reduction and observability.


Soft skillsCommunication :
Articulate complex technical issues and solutions to technical and non-technical team members

Problem-solving : Analyze challenges and implement effective, long-term solutions under pressureAdaptability : Adjust to evolving technologies and changing organizational needs

Hard Skills

Hands-on experience:

SRE experience including:

Systems architecture :
In-depth knowledge of system design and experience with scalable and reliable infrastructureNetworking and security : Understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and ability to implement secure and robust solutions

Cloud platforms :

Competence in using cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for deploying, scaling, and managing applications and infrastructure.

Technical Skills

Scripting and coding :
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash and coding with languages like Go or JavaContainerization and orchestration : Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for container management and deploymentNetworking fundamentals : Understanding network protocols, load balancing, and firewall management for secure and efficient network operations

Observability :
Deep understanding of observability utilizing Logs, metrics and traces.

Experience

Ideal candidates will have 15 years of experience with 5 years in an SRE role.
