Role Overview: Cvent, Inc. is in search of an Assistant Manager - Revenue Accounting to join their Finance team. The ideal candidate should possess a broad skill set in technology, business, and finance, capable of excelling in a dynamic and evolving work setting. Proficiency in US GAAP accounting, revenue recognition, and experience in M&As are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee revenue recognition procedures for Cvent Inc.
  • Demonstrate expertise in US-GAAP guidelines for revenue recognition.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all accounting activities in compliance with SOX controls and internal policies.
  • Apply knowledge of ASC 606 revenue standards, deferred revenue, and accounts receivables.
  • Enhance sub-processes through documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage preparation, review, and recording of Revenue Accounting entries for month-end closing.
  • Collaborate on internal and external audit processes, including coordination of Revenue Accounting requests.
  • Assist in the implementation and data migration of new Revenue recognition tools.
  • Lead cross-departmental meetings, manage agendas, and track action items.
  • Support FP&A team in financial forecasting.
  • Contribute to the Monthly Closure of books for Cvent Inc.
  • Oversee the Global Revenue month-end close, including reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations for Deferred revenue and AR accounts.
  • Analyze variances in financial statements.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between G/L and manual workings.
  • Create dashboards for Senior Management.
  • Support yearly Financial Audits.
  • Conduct various financial and accounting analyses.
  • Prepare Journal Entries to adjust revenue.
  • Handle queries from stakeholders in the US and India.

Requirements for the role:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP software, preferably Oracle.
  • CA/CPA qualification with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and coordination skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance work environment.
  • Must possess flexibility and strong multitasking capabilities.
