The goal of the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process is the creation of a unified consensus-based supply plan that is integrated with the Syngene's Biologics business Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and its 1-3-5 strategy.
The Integrated Business Planning Manager will be responsible for developing, releasing, and executing the processes, procedures and the cadence of the IBP process including SIOP.
He serves as the subject matter expert for demand planning, network optimization, and capacity and manpower planning across production, QC, and QA while supporting various projects including; demand and supply planning, finite schedule, inventory and consumption models, plant and asset optimization across network, integration of new businesses/projects, and new product launches.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Key Responsibilities:
Drive full utilization of ERP system (SAP) system capabilities to automate supply chain activities and provide reports and analysis for decision making during S&OP process reviews.
Collect and aggregate demand from business development team and uses it to develop an optimized supply plan for review with all stakeholders and drives consensus on delivery of the supply plan.
Communicates significant changes in markets and escalates demand gaps relative to relative to annual planFacilitate Supply meeting to match demand and supply, and adjust schedule to match availability of resources. Achieve highest QUOTIF and drive supply backlog down.
Facilitate cross functional problem-solving discussion to identify solutions to debottleneck and relieve constraints.
Produce a weekly rough-cut capacity plan for a production site including asset and cross-functional manpower
Schedule production and identify material, asset and manpower requirements.
Accountable for the raw materials management process, including forecasting, scheduling, working capital control and obsolescence management.
Optimize Capacity Plan to support the S&OP (24-month) and longer-term business planning.
Identify excess/shortage of capacity/manpower for various functions across the network of sites and take actions in advance to address manpower shortage or excess.
Propose different scenarios/Trade-Offs at recon/exec reviews to facilitate decision making regarding capacity allocation among projects.Drive profitability by optimizing utilization. Working with Commercial and Finance using cost to serve
Ensuring NPI forecasts are captured, aligned within capacity, and promote landing place for new Products/Projects.
Responsible for the governance in capacity planning ensuring all demand signals are captured and working collaboratively with cross functional team.
Responsible for identifying risks/opportunities in the capacity profiles and presenting challenges to the Regional S&OP teams on improvement actions.Providing insight and reports into S&OP inventory trends and providing accountability to site teams on performance and impacts. Forecast Inventory profile and drive improvement actions to decrease it through an accurate Input/Output model.
Monitor processes for performance against outcomes in line with PDCA and DMAIC practices to achieve target process outcomes.
Calculate KPIs including QUOTIF, schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, inventory and DIO, asset capacity utilization and manpower utilization and publish it periodically.
Candidate Profile:
Knowledge of S&OP/IBP processes preferred
Experience in SAP planning and MRP preferred
Degree or higher in Chemistry, Biotech, Biomedical or Chemical Engineering preferred
Experience in managing complex data or a data science degree preferred
Master's in business and/or supply chain from premier business institutions reqd.
Knowledge MS Excel, Project, and Powerpoint required – advanced level desirable
Experience in Demand Planning Techniques preferred
Experience in inventory management preferred
Experience in managing complexity/problem solving preferred
