Institutional Investment Operations Specialist

About this Role:
Wells Fargo is looking for an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist.
In this Role, You Will:
- Offer support to Derivative clients across Rates, equities, credit, and commodity products
- Monitor daily functions of Derivatives Settlements process
- Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Collaborate with business partners and various departments to create efficiencies and mitigate risks
- Make supervisory decisions for a team of analysts and resolve issues related to team supervision and daily operations
- Utilize policies, procedures, and compliance requirements for decision-making
- Lead the team to achieve objectives and strategies
- Supervise confirmation of payments, processing of daily settlements, and provide support to clients
- Organize the team's work, assign tasks, set priorities, monitor activities, and ensure timely completion of work
- Understand and proactively meet client needs
- Collaborate with Technology to identify and resolve system issues for increased efficiency
- Proactively identify and handle potential issues, escalating when necessary
- Drive learning initiatives, discipline adherence, and manage team attrition
Required Qualifications:
- MBA or an advanced degree (or equivalent experience)
- 6 to 10 years' experience in capital markets, preferably in OTC Derivative Settlements
- Understanding of current Regulations and their impact on the market
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good understanding of Derivative products
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Understanding of market settlement processes
- Process improvement and redesign experience
- Transition management experience
- Knowledge of global market settlement processes
- Willingness to work in US shifts
