We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to boost sales and revenue growth for our Kirloskar Green Brand Diesel Generators in Government Departments. The Manager will oversee sales, liaise with Government departments, ensure payment collection, travel extensively, and manage projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- To handle the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to order closure and payment collection in government departments.
- Build relationships with Central and State Government organizations and major PSUs.
- Manage procurement through GEM, State-level buying agencies, and tender processes.
- Develop and execute a sales plan to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Cultivate and retain relationships with key customers, government officials, and resellers.
- Liaise with Government bodies for sales and payments.
- Travel extensively to engage potential customers and oversee project delivery.
- Manage projects to ensure timely installation of generators.
- Utilize computer skills to maintain sales reports and generate leads online.
- Effective communication skills for deal negotiations and closures.
- Collaborate with the sales team and other departments.
- Strategize to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
- Thorough understanding of purchase procedures in Government Departments, including GEM Portal.
- Appoint and coordinate with channel partners for streamlined sales operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated success in meeting and surpassing sales targets.
- Experience in sales, project management, and liaising with Government departments.
- Familiarity with purchase procedures in Government Departments, including GEM Portal.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder relations.
- Proficiency in computers and sales reporting tools.
