Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled BI/Data engineer to take on a key role in technical analysis, quality assessment, and the development of essential sales tools and business processes that leverage data for informed decision-making. Proficiency in SQL is essential for this role, as it involves in-depth data analysis and validation. The position also focuses on enhancing sales team efficiency by establishing future best practices for business/data analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough analysis and development using Power BI
  • Transforming and analyzing data/Big data as needed
  • Exploring all available data for project initiatives and implications
  • Writing complex SQL queries for data analysis, testing, and validation
  • Evaluating data systems for effectiveness, issues, and discrepancies, as well as creating and maintaining data processing protocols
  • Ensuring the quality of imported data, collaborating with data quality engineers when necessary
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to grasp functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Offering source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets
  • Providing technical insights on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
  • Identifying and resolving issues at their core by examining the wider context
  • Cooperating closely with project teams to identify and address business needs
  • Developing new data collection and analysis procedures
  • Hands-on participation in crafting, developing, and implementing scalable solutions on AWS
  • Conducting ad hoc statistical and data mining analyses
  • Overseeing on-site and offshore communication, translating requirements into technical tasks for the development team
  • Documenting technical design specifications to clarify how business and functional requirements are satisfied
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to comprehend data extracted from various applications

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and No-SQL, with hands-on experience in relational databases (e.g., SQL/ORACLE/MySQL)
  • Strong independent problem-solving abilities and statistical analysis skills
  • Expertise in integration and functional testing
  • Knowledge of Python or Java
  • Experience with data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP is essential
  • Experience with Snowflake/Redshift is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
