Purpose of Position
Applicants will be part of a dynamic team of specialists involved in developing the strategy, building BSI Assessor and Tutor capacity, supporting sales team's client acquisition, technical support and service delivery of GMP, PSCI and AMR assessments, ISO Standards (9000, Business Continuity Management, 27000), Supplier Verification Services (client specific programs – Quality, Social, Security, OHSE) and related training.
The overall role of the Head - Healthcare Sector is to lead the development and growth of BSI services offered to that sector. This individual will provide technical support and ensure that the sector adheres to the accreditation and scheme rules. He/She will ensure the service quality of our offerings and strive to improve it keeping in mind BSI's Credo of Making Excellence a Habit. He will undertake audits and conduct trainings for the Healthcare sector in order to provide the leadership.Key Responsibilities:
Provide Healthcare-Pharma sector understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and relevant regulations concerning the manufacturing, testing, packaging, and distribution of products and their active ingredients. Support the development of standard operating procedures for the sector and client specific GMP EHS, information security, business continuity compliance Standards, checklists, guidance documents and training material for internal and external stakeholders including auditors and clients. Support with the recruitment, on boarding and development of BSI Assessors and Tutors, ensuring capacity and capability building training plans the Healthcare-Pharma sector are implemented and deliver adequate professional resources development to for compliance audits and related training. Conduct onsite assessments and/or training activities, both public and in-house ISO Standards or client specific requirements as defined by the sector strategy and/or area of expertise. Identify potential, markets and opportunities for BSI services. Responsible for the Healthcare industry score card creation, deployment and implementation Ensure maintenance and accreditation & scheme rules of the Healthcare sector. To be the Brand Ambassador and be able to deliver talks during focussed events /conferences and seminars. Liaison with APAC and Global Healthcare Sector scheme management. Contribute to training of sales staff and development of marketing materials, undertake training , evaluation and approval of assessors , trainers and qualifying reviewers , related to the sector Undertake initial / ongoing evaluation of qualifying auditors based on the accreditation of scheme requirements. Assist the continuing professional development of assessors and trainers. Assist in development of new products. To act as the primary contact with accreditation bodies regarding healthcare schemes. Assist /conduct internal audits.Candidate specifications
To be successful in this role you need to thrive in a process driven, fast pace, customer focused environment and have the ability to make impartial decisions, quickly and efficiently, based on facts. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail. You must be self-motivated and have the ability to remain calm whilst managing numerous priorities. Good IT and systems skills are essential.
You will also be:
Recognized University degree or higher (or equivalent certification or work experience) This position requires a minimum of 100% travel to and from clients. This includes both land (car) and air travel. Educated to degree level in Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering, or similar field preferred, or have a further education diploma with proven experience in pharmaceutical/Healthcare/manufacturing, packaging or laboratories. Experience in conducting and delivering assessments, including GMP/Compliance is essential, as is experience with Healthcare/Pharmaceutical production and development processes. In-depth know-how of specific GMP, AMT, HSE topics such as Industrial Hygiene, Biological or Chemical Hazard, Hazardous Waste Management, and Process Safety Management, together with the associated regulatory environment required. Experienced presenter who is able to deliver training for in-house/public training courses would be highly regarded, and proven track record of delivering assessments and audit services essential.#LI-SC3
