Funded by Premji Invest- Azim Premji's Investment arm and NewQuest , iD Fresh manufactures 55,000 kg of idly/dosa batter every day and delivers it to over 30,000 retail outlets. The company's product range has grown to include a wide range of fresh ready-to-cook foods including 'Squeeze and Fry' Vada Batter, South Indian Filter Coffee decoction, Ragi Idly/Dosa batter, Natural Paneer and Malabar Parota among others. The company has also launched an organic product line and will soon be converting its entire operations to organic.

About the Operational Model

As our product is different from others, so is our business model. All our fresh products are made for the day they are shipped to retail stores. We have zero finished goods inventory, and hence no intermediary stockists or transitory warehouses. This is possible only with the help of an inhouse fleet of vehicles and distribution personnel. Currently a fleet of 500+ dedicated vehicles and crew touch 30,000 retailers daily and replenish 100,000+ Kgs units of the freshest produce.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead Developer to join our dynamic team. As the Team Lead Developer for Mobile App, you will be responsible for developing as well as leading a team of developers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise grade web plus mobile apps to be used by our field sales team . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality mobile solutions that meet the needs of our users and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and led a team of mobile app developers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of an enterprise mobile first application to plan, transact and track retail invoicing, delivery and reporting system
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and robust mobile solutions using industry best practices and design patterns.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and proper implementation of requirements.
  • Identify technical challenges and proactively propose solutions to address them, mitigating risks and ensuring project success.
  • Stay current with the latest mobile technologies, trends, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate.
  • Lead by example through hands-on development, contributing high-quality code and driving excellence in software engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, and third-party platforms.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other agile ceremonies to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in mobile app development, with a strong track record of delivering successful iOS and Android applications in FMCG / Logistic / Finance / SFA domain
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile development frameworks, such as React Native, Flutter, or native (Swift, Kotlin).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Swift, or Kotlin.
  • Ability to incorporate geospatial analytical solutions (vehicle route optimization and planning) and AI Based Document Processing systems (OCR, Hand written text processing)
  • Experience leading a team of developers in an agile environment, with a focus on collaboration, communication, and teamwork.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies and services, such as RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with mobile app performance optimization, security, and accessibility.
