PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :


We are a Digital-first and innovation-led university combining strategy, design, and technology to deliver extraordinary experiences for our stakeholders.


As a head of digital solutions, you will oversee teams that use agile, data-driven, and digital solutions to address the human factors that affect the university's capacity to achieve its strategic goals.

The Digital Services head collaborates with stakeholders and the user community to deliver customer-centered digital services.



MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :


  • Develop, implement, manage and review the company's digital strategy in line with organizational values, business objectives, and priorities
  • Implement an environment of digital innovation and best practices, ensuring the use of technologies for the benefit of stakeholders.
Maintain strong knowledge of emerging external trends in digital technology solutions

  • Lead the organization in maximizing the opportunities of digital working cultures by shaping the skills, processes, people, and tools we use to deliver the business objectives.
Create and imbed a prioritization approach to develop a roadmap for innovation with the relevant processes, tools, and metrics to support business objectives and new growth opportunities

  • Plan, design, develop, and roll out digital academic solutions using AI, BI, ML, mobility, and AR/VR
  • Own, monitor, and report on the adoption of digital solutions.
  • Program manages the overall digital implementation plan to ensure all technology solutions are projectmanaged effectively and are delivered on time and within cost.
Supports Team members to ensure they identify risks, and contingency plans and engage with stakeholders for effective collaboration

  • Ensuring that the organization's digital channels are compliant with industry regulations and best practices
  • Identifying opportunities for growth in digital channels that might not be apparent to other team members
  • Partner with Academic and nonacademic departments to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models
  • Evaluating emerging technologies and creating prototypes to test new ideas for products or processes
  • Reviewing analytics to identify opportunities for improvement in existing digital strategies
  • Lead a team that project manages and delivers digital solutions using a range of techniques to responsively and effectively pilot and where applicable, successfully implement the platforms
  • Problem solves with the needs of the end customer in consideration at all times, ensuring solutions deliver and enhance their experience
  • Effectively manages the team to drive engagement, performance management, teamwork, and flexibility
  • Acts as coach/mentor to team members and supports each individual's development
  • Measure ROI for digital projects, finetuning approaches as needed to ensure that we're investing in the appropriate tools and resources
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) :

  • Academia and support groups
  • Internal Customer, working with the faculty, deans, students, HR, Administration, operations control, and marketing teams to develop ideas concepts, and solutions


 IT Partners
  • Work closely with all the partners and OEMs to ensure they deliver outcomes


 IT Project Managers
  • Working very closely with project managers and team leads effectively working across multiple projects and delivering as per deadlines


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :


  • Experience having designed, implemented, and evaluated organizational transformation digital solutions and has delivered largescale change that added value to the organization
  • Highly effective change agent who engages with senior stakeholders to deliver the digital program to the organization.
  • Benchmarking skills and identifying best practices and knowledge of the digital landscape of organizations
  • High degree of budget management experience associated with digital technology design and its adaptation
  • Has strong relationships with approved vendors and with software suppliers of digital services to ensure effective delivery of digital technologies/systems
  • Understanding of core business processes and their associated technical solutions
  • An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward
  • Experience in managing and leading a digital team
  • Proven skills for influencing and collaborating with coworkers
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP, CRM, Portals, Intranet, analytics, AI, Mobility SEM, CMS, eCommerce, and similar solutions
  • Demonstrable experience in adopting process optimization practices.
  • Demonstrable experience and skills in performing cost analysis and justification of new technologies
  • Demonstrable experience in using open source for building platforms

QUALIFICATIONS &

EDUCATION :


  • Recognized Degree in Business IT or Computer Science, MBA will be a Plus
  • Proven track record in a senior management digital solution or transformation position
  • 10+ years of digitalization and automation experience
  • 5+ years of Digital transformation
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience and proven track record in delivering complex projects
  • Academic vertical experience will be a Plus
