Your role
Do you have the know-how to apply technical analysis techniques to improve the designing process of our onboarding services? Are you motivated, a multitasker, able to deliver with tight deadlines, have risk awareness and a client centered attitude?
We're looking for a Software engineer for our Archive Onboarding services team.

You will have the opportunity to develop and set up new data feeds from business applications for ongoing ingestion into the appropriate records management archive system.


Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Engage business application stakeholders to review and aplish archive onboarding requirement specifications
  • Track the end-to-end archive onboarding projects activity status (design, test, and implementation) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyze the technical documentations to identify gaps and discrepancies related to feed configurations
  • Resolve user queries and business engagement activities up to design sign off in a timely manner
  • Create the test plan and scenarios for assigned onboarding tasks andplete the walkthrough session for our stakeholders
  • Execute integration testing, conduct root cause analysis of test defects, implement fixes and prepare UAT deployments ( configuration tags)
  • Perform detailed analysis of feed processing failures during testing and ensure that all the breaks or issues are identified and resolved in due time
  • Ensure risks and issues in processes are identified, reported, and escalated in-time to mitigate impact
  • Collaborate and co-ordinate well with our internal development colleagues to identify and resolve application related issues
  • Preparation of handover document for production support teams and participate in post-production verification and support activities
  • Assist our production support colleagues in investigating critical feed archival technical issues in production environments (L3 Support)
Your team

You will be part of the Client Document & Records Management stream in the Agile organization, working with the Appraisal, Onboarding and Advisory Pod (team).

We support electronic archiving services across all UBS divisions and functions to ensure andply with our legal and regulatory Records Management obligations.

We help our business applications to identify what needs to be archived, provide services to ensure electronic records are preserved in accordance with the appropriate retention and legal hold requirements, that records are available for authorized retrieval, and are disposed of when our obligations have been fulfilled.

As an Onboarding technical engineer, you will play an important role in helping our Business and IT partners for onboarding and systematic adoption of their business records into UBS approved archive systems across the regions.

Your expertise

  • 4 to 6 years of analyst and development experience in financial service industry
  • Knowledge in software development life cycle change implementation process with banking industry
  • Strong knowledge and working experience in Linux, Oracle and SQL/PLSQL technologies
  • Knowledge in IBM CMOD , OpenText, Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) Object store- other records management software solutions are an asset
  • Good knowledge on MS Office tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and REST API Interface
  • Experience in tools like Ticketing tool (GSNOW), GitLab (Tracking tool), Confluence and SharePoint are a plus
  • Technical Know-how on electronic records management system concepts like Metadata, Indexing and Search keys
  • Team player, interacts well and creates synergy in team environment and with our business stakeholders
  • Goodmand of English tomunicate effectively with the several teams located globally
  • Highly driven and self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude and client centric approach
  • A proactive and change focused mind-set on continuous improvement with problem solving ability to deal with challenging situations
  • Knowledge or experience in records management policies and procedures will be an added advantage
