The Role:

We are looking for a talented Technical Product Owner to work within our Product teams, to understand, collaborate and deliver a clear product vision and roadmap that helps achieve customer outcomes.

The product owner will work passionately and tirelessly to ensure all stakeholders are heard and delighted by the results.

At the heart you will help teams measure and understand the use of products, and performance vs long term business objectives.


You will have a strong understanding and demonstrable experience of working on back-end solutions and services that power great experiences, with a passion in designing and delivering high quality, performant and scalable workflows.

Strong judgment and communication skills, technical design, and continuous focus on product and operational excellence are essential for the success in this role.

You understand the criticality of a highly performant, scalable and resilient core platform and are skilled and able to help bring business and technical context to complex problems.


As Product Owner in our team, you will help build and develop scale in cloud hosted environments, service componentisation and overall implementation of our target service architecture to enable product team autonomy and provide a optimized trading platform engine that harnesses the power of cloud native solutions, event driven architecture and advanced algorithms with an aim to streamline trading processes and enhance the overall wealth management experience.

You will work as part of a cross-functional scrum team, working in an Agile environment.

Whilst coming from a technical background, you understand business value and are able to make priority decisions based upon a number of different lenses.

You have worked in environments where re-architecting a core platform was your mission, you understand API and micro-service standards and patterns that deliver to global/local models and put emphasis on improved security, scalability, reusability and cost optimisation.


Alongside your teams, you will build software in the full stack, use highly scalable, cutting-edge technologies whilst collaborating with multiple teams in the business.

You will have the satisfaction of being able to deliver value to customers in a fast-paced, iterative environment, as well as look back and say you were a big part of something truly innovative from the earliest stages.

Responsibilities:

  • Make value based decisions, amongst a roadmap of competing priorities.
  • Work with internal and external customers to analyse the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Owns the product roadmap.
  • Develop scope and define backlog items (opportunities/problem statements) that guide the Agile software development team.
  • Solve productrelated problems, make decisions, complete tradeoff analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
  • Possess a advanced understanding of cloudnative architecture, with proven experience in large scale service componentisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Assess value, develops cases, and prioritize themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized roadmap for implementation.
  • Act as an evangelist for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
  • Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
  • Represents team in front of stakeholders, clients or users.
  • Work closely with product management and senior management in order to create a product that fits the company strategy.
