Job Overview

Emerson is seeking a talented Distributed Control System professional to join their team as a DCS System Engineer / Senior System Engineer at their Pune Centre of Excellence engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively to develop, implement, and test DCS software solutions for various industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Food & Beverages, Pharma, Pulp & Paper, and more.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, Implement, and Test system software
  • Support Lead engineer in projects
  • Experience with DCS / PLC systems and S88 architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Batch process Applications
  • Follow procedural guidelines and standards
  • Prepare design and test documents
  • Interpret Functional requirement documents and develop Detail Designs Documents
  • Develop Configuration and Test guidelines
  • Participate in FAT/SAT/Commissioning activities
  • Willingness to travel to Customer site or overseas offices

Quality Control & Assurance:

  • Implementation of EEEC IMS processes/documentation
  • Adherence to quality requirements and regulatory guidelines
  • Promote First time right approach
  • Follow GDP (Good Documentation Practices)

Other Duties:

  • Perform additional specific duties as requested

Requirements for the Role:

  • 3 to 7 years' experience in DCS system software configuration and test
  • Experience in DCS software configuration and test
  • Conduct FAT / SAT
  • Experience with Third party interfaces
  • Knowledge of Validation aspects
  • Experience with Tools usage: MS-Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Instrumentation & Electronics or related field
  • Understanding of networking protocols
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Certified on GAMP5 and GDP requirements
  • Experience in DeltaV system
