One of our clients is seeking a Head of Engineering and Analytics to join their team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The position involves overseeing the strategic direction and roadmap of Tensight, our analytics product. The role requires close collaboration with the founders and other Business Unit leaders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and market trends. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who excels in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure timely and thorough execution of current Tensight deployments from start to finish.
  • Continuously refine the product strategy based on market dynamics, customer feedback, and internal capabilities to align with the company's overall goals.
  • Provide engineering insights and architectural oversight to enhance scalability and reduce infrastructure costs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in analytics to adjust the product strategy accordingly.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers to gather feedback, understand evolving requirements, and identify opportunities for product enhancement.
  • Prioritize new features and enhancements based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and available resources.
  • Oversee the product roadmap execution, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide leadership and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the product's success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Background in Engineering or Computer Science with a proven track record in managing product lifecycles in analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, manipulation, and visualization.
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering with 5+ years in team management.
  • Good understanding of analytics frameworks and concepts.
  • Experience with Large Data Sets and expertise in managing databases and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Marketing domains preferred.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and product management tools is a plus.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and define product vision.
  • Strong focus on customer needs and translating insights into valuable product features.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
