Role: Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Roles and Responsibilities: Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that efficiently move, transform, and load data from various sources to data storage solutions in the cloud. Cloud Infrastructure: Set up and manage cloud infrastructure for data processing and storage, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support data analytics and reporting requirements. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Create and optimize ETL processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and timeliness. Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and external data feeds. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data processing and storage systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Data Security: Implement data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and data masking, to protect sensitive information. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, data lineage, and best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software developers to ensure data solutions meet business requirements Desired Candidate Profile: 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in cloud-based data engineering. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including relevant services (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow). Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and transformation. Expertise in data modelling, SQL, and database technologies (e.g., SQL databases, NoSQL databases). Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Apache Beam). Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery). Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Technical certifications will be plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
