POSITION SUMMARY:
The Infrastructure Services Manager manages the overall delivery of the end-to-end infrastructure operations and engineering services.

The Services Lead works with Software Engineering and product leadership teams to manage the delivery of our infrastructure services (Compute, Storage, Backup, Web App, Cloud, Converged tech, Data Centre ops, databases, Network, etc).

The Infrastructure Services manager manages an integrated team of Cloud Engineers to ensure superior levels of customer satisfaction for our clients.

The Services Lead manages the teams based on organizational goals while managing the day-to-day delivery and ensuring service uptime. Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding overall and day-to(1)day service delivery.

The successful candidate should come from a Technical / Operations support environment for a managed infrastructure or cloud-based solution provider.


You Can Expect To:
Manage the incident response process, documentation, and compliance of teams to the approved process.

Review and evolve the incident response process in coordination with management to ensure operational excellence and drive operational KPI improvementsCoordinate and/or manage IT professionals in departments such as systems infrastructure, engineering, release automation, site reliability engineering, DevOps, and data management.

Plan, develop and oversee company customer-facing operating environments, including private/public cloud, telecommunications, database management and networks.
Manage change management process, documentation and compliance of teams to the approved process.

Review and evolve the change management process in coordination with management to ensure operational excellence and drive operational KPI improvements.

Partner with the product and development teams to ensure follow-up and compliance of incident response and change managementProvide leadership and direction to all teams focusing on service excellence.

Ensure reporting on monthly KPI's, Incidents, and critical team/operations metrics

  • Ensure appropriate escalations and management visibility into operational issues.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


Direct the local production operations team and overall leadership support to the full distributed operations organization, mentoring and supporting team members as necessary.

Ensure that appropriate incidents (and problems) are correctly managed through to resolution, ensuring their referral and escalation to other resolver teams as required and within the defined service levels.

Work closely with the head of production operations to ensure continuity of service delivery and operation, and supplier management.

Manage action plans relating to security incidents, including testing, initiating actions when flagged, and ensuring liaison with other parties (internal and external) as necessary.

Review and ensure execution of plans for disaster recovery and business continuity as required (including periodic testing)Ensure strong working relationships with other areas of the business, contributing to the delivery of service to customers, notably DevOps, product management, development, and support.

Ensure support for a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying areas for potential improved automation and feeding back to relevant teams.

Management reporting as necessary.
Ensure the overall delivery of a quality operational service to customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS:


Have a minimum of 8 years in a technical and operations support environment for a managed infrastructure or cloud-based solution provider operating within the regulated financial community.

Strong knowledge of public cloud architecture (preferably AWS)Experience in managed Kubernetes services such as AKS, EKS, or GKEHighly proficient in infrastructure automation tasks and interacting with REST API services using tools such as shell scripting, Ansible or TerraformExperience in agile development methodologiesExperience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etcGood interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical people.

Excellent experience in leading & developing distributed teams across multiple time zones and different jurisdictionsGood understanding of financial regulatory reporting practicesUnderstanding of tools managing the cloud environment, including sysadmin skills and experience in writing scripts in an administrative languageGood supervisory skills and a familiarity with team management, attention to quality and a desire for improvementExcellent awareness of security and confidentiality issues and experience of identifying security vulnerabilities
