Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world applications.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well on a team and individually.
  • Attention to detail and a desire for project perfection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of experience in a Virtual Assistant role
• Familiarity with latest workplace technologies, including VoIP, online calendars and desktop sharing
• Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word-processing program

• Ability to work with minimum supervision
