What is this role?

As the Business Leader at Physics Wallah, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's strategic vision. We are looking for a Business Finance Manager to join our team As a Business Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial health of our company by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and developing strategies to improve our financial performance. You will also be responsible for managing the finance team and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

What You'll Do?

1. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):

Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Analyze financial performance, key metrics, and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance decision-making capabilities.

2. Variance Analysis:

Monitor and analyze actual financial results against budgeted and forecasted figures.

Investigate variances, identify key drivers, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Develop action plans to address performance gaps and optimize resource allocation across the organization.

3. Profit and Loss (P&L) Management:

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reporting processes.

Partner with business unit leaders to analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers.

Implement strategies to enhance revenue growth, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance.

4. Forecasting:

Develop accurate and timely financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.

Incorporate market trends, operational insights, and other relevant factors into forecast models.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with strategic objectives and financial targets.

5. Budgeting:

Manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior leadership.

Ensure alignment of budget allocations with strategic priorities, growth initiatives, and operational needs.

Monitor budget execution and provide guidance on expenditure management and cost control measures.

6. Team Management:

Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support career development opportunities for team members.

Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, integrity, and professionalism.

7. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Due Diligence:

Support M&A activities, including target identification, financial analysis, due diligence, and integration planning.

Conduct thorough financial due diligence assessments to evaluate potential risks, synergies, and value creation opportunities.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful M&A transactions and post-merger integration efforts.

You are Someone Who Has:

Qualified CA with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, or a related field

Strong leadership and team management skills, with demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.

Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence processes, including financial modeling and valuation techniques.

Excellent analytical abilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Advanced proficiency in financial software tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
