Job Description

As a Staff Network Engineer, you'll partner with IT teams to design, build, and maintain a complex network architecture. You will utilize your scripting skills to create automation tools that simplify and expedite network management. Use your extensive background in network engineering, system integration, and troubleshooting to support Procore's growth and innovation. This position reports into the Sr. Manager IT and Infrastructure and will be based in Pune, India. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain complex network systems and devices across multiple environments.
  • Create and maintain automation tools to streamline network management.
  • Collaborate with teams to solve network problems with minimal business disruption.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot network issues to determine root cause and develop solutions.
  • Implement and improve network policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Support incident response and problem management with network containment and analysis.
  • Interact with industry experts, partners, internal staff, and auditors.
  • Travel occasionally (domestic and international) as required.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or comparable experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in large-scale environments.
  • Experience with firewall configuration, policy management, and secure wireless communications.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, secure directory services, and access to SaaS business systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse engineering teams and products.
  • Experience with performance engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Strong grasp of practical cryptography for storage, transport, and identity purposes.
  • Familiarity with network analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.).
