Job Summary:

The Content Distribution & Acquisition Manager oversees music content acquisition, licensing, and distribution. This position requires a deep understanding of the music industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to foster relationships with content creators, distributors, and partners. The ideal candidate is strategic, identifying expansion opportunities across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new labels and artists, manage content transfer & processing.
  • Utilize data mapping, metadata, and content curation.
  • Proficient in authoring tools and Content Management systems.
  • Collaborate with channel partners, monitor schedules, and manage content operations.
  • Develop content strategy, operational schedules, and insights sharing.
  • Address inquiries promptly, coordinate collateral sourcing, and update stakeholders.
  • Maintain invoicing records, collection, and vendor management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Music Industry.
  • 5+ years in content acquisition or distribution within music.
  • Knowledge of digital music platforms and licensing.
  • Successful negotiation skills and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Independent and collaborative team player.
  • Passionate about music and industry dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience in international music markets.
  • Familiar with emerging technologies in music distribution.
  • Knowledge of royalty reporting and rights management.
