Job Purpose/ Description

The role of Senior Associate / Senior Manager - Investments entails the responsibility of generating new business opportunities. Moreover, it involves the establishment of strong connections within the impact business and rapidly growing entrepreneur community, supervising deal executions, and striving to enhance the reputation of Caspian Debt.



Duties and Development:
  • Prospect and acquire Debt proposals for Caspian Debt through professional networking and fieldwork.
  • Create a strategic pipeline for Caspian Debt focusing on target sectors through a detailed pipeline development plan.
  • Foster industry relationships with PE/VC funds, banks, financial institutions, and Industry associations.


Transaction Execution & Relationship Management:
  • Evaluate the operations and financials of potential investee companies to assess compatibility with Caspian Debt.
  • Oversee the entire loan process from due diligence, risk analysis, preparation of credit notes, presentation to a credit committee, structuring debt transactions, client negotiations, and ensuring timely processing.
  • Maintain relationships with portfolio companies and take necessary actions in case of any challenges within the portfolio.
  • Identify avenues to provide support to investee companies through knowledge sharing and connecting with relevant ecosystems.

Knowledge Building:
  • Continual knowledge enhancement in target sectors to identify new investment opportunities. Conduct thorough research and analysis of sectors, markets, and regulatory frameworks when required to support informed decision-making.


Post Graduate Degree

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lending & business development within Banks/NBCSs.
  • Proficiency in establishing and nurturing relationships with entrepreneurs and various stakeholders supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem such as venture capital/private equity investors, industry associations, and sector experts.
  • Solid experience in structuring debt transactions with a comprehensive understanding of crucial aspects in the social and environmental impact business and investor landscape.
  • Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to conduct both primary and secondary research on market trends and success drivers for businesses.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate integrity, reliability, and independence.
  • Attentive to accuracy, precision, and detail orientation.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing to articulate ideas clearly and convincingly.
  • Capable of working efficiently within deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Travel requirements: Moderate (5-8 days/month) across various locations in India.
