Job summary


As the Leader for Content & Language, you will be leading the creation, quality and scale of our language content.

As the product is scaling very quickly we need to quickly scale the speed and quality of our lessons for each language we support.


You will work very closely with the Product, Design and Engineering leaders and ensure that product goals of high retention are achieved by contributing through high quality and engaging content.

You will manage a team of our in-house content reviewers and our educators and uphold systems for internal reviews for the content we create.

Key responsibilities

  • Stay on top of the language learning landscape globally, understand relevant trends both from competition and modern language learners points of view.
  • Own and oversee the endtoend creation of the entire language. Right from curriculum and lesson design to the overall content engagement and experience.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards across the content process, ensuring that the content is errorfree and actually teaches the language in an effective and highly retentive manner.
  • Regularly own, track and analyze key metrics such as lesson retention, lesson completion, lesson like percentage, publishing speed and so on.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a highperforming content team capable of meticulously generating high quality content at speed and scale.
  • Work with the Engineering team to enhance internal content delivery tools that help in increasing the speed of content publishing and the speed of fixing issues found in content.
  • Define and implement a playbook for rapid and efficient launch of new languages in new markets globally.
Key qualifications

- ~6 years of experience in driving operational excellence in a Product/Tech company as a Product Manager, Program Manager or an equivalent Business role.
  • Deep interest in building a highly retentive product with a willingness to dive deeper into engagement metrics and improve the overall experience.
  • Ability to think creatively from a content and design lens to make the lessons more interesting, fun and engaging – a past case study of something like this is a major plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing teams.
  • Technical aptitude with an understanding of app development and content integration processes.
  • Proven track record of data driven decision making.
  • Selfdirected, resourceful, and comfortable with operating in ambiguity.
  • Fluency in additional languages is preferred.
