Position Summary:

Oversees the REFM+CS category spend amounting to $500M and provides leadership assistance for the $600M Professional Service category.

Spearheads a team of commercial and contract negotiators (Global team) in a matrixed model, reporting locally and globally under the Regional Head of Sourcing for India/APAC in India.

The role involves directing, managing, and coordinating contract negotiations for the REFM+CS category, as well as offering guidance to the Global Professional Services Category Directors on effective spend management.

Develops the sourcing strategy, acts as the primary sourcing contact, and is accountable for negotiation outcomes within the REFM+CS Category.

Serves as the leader for India-based teams, serving as the point of contact and escalation for senior management in India and APAC.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Heads the Global REFM+CS category sourcing team, managing contract and commercial negotiators responsible for category-specific sourcing needs and escalations.
  • Plays a key role in implementing sourcing strategy, policies, and processes while ensuring alignment with the organization's global/regional strategy.
  • Develops holistic commercial strategies for key negotiations, from demand assessment to implementation planning, in collaboration with the business.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of Real Estate, Facility Management & Corporate Services Category sourcing needs by region and acts as the primary sourcing contact.
  • Drives the development of standard commodity savings metrics and strategies for supplier consolidation and cost reduction.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with global business leaders and senior stakeholders to address Category-specific sourcing requirements in line with global policies.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Head of Contracting and sourcing India/APAC and global category leads to develop sourcing strategy and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requires over a decade of Sourcing expertise in REFM+CS and Professional services IT and Management consulting categories with a track record of managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing the contract life cycle, including negotiation, drafting, and assessing complex contractual issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of Third-Party Risk assessment and management related to contractual obligations.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-departmental team members to achieve shared objectives.
  • Provides leadership through experience and skills training, establishing best practices for consistency in process knowledge.
  • Acts as a mentor and coach to team members, offering guidance and support to help them achieve professional growth.
  • Builds strong relationships within the team, fostering a sense of unity, trust, and loyalty.
  • Monitors team morale and engagement, proactively addressing any issues to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrates leadership by example, embodying the organization's values and culture.
  • Experience in providing leadership support across different time zones with a thorough understanding of Global Operations.
  • Serves as a change catalyst to enhance efficiency and maximize commercial value while balancing global and local requirements.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 18 years of work experience, with at least 7 years in a management role, showcasing expertise in managing large, complex projects and global procurement processes.

Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required, with an advanced degree being advantageous.
