Job Description:
  • As an Azure Data Modeler, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data models and solutions on the Azure platform.
  • You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data architectures.
  • Your expertise in ETL, analytics, visualization, and database engineering, particularly within the Azure ecosystem, will be critical to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling and Architecture:
  • Design and develop robust data models and architectures on the Azure platform.
  • Define data storage, processing, and integration strategies to meet business needs.
  • Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and optimized for performance.

ETL Development:
  • Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Azure data services.
  • Implement data cleansing, enrichment, and validation procedures as part of the ETL pipeline.
  • Optimize ETL workflows for performance and reliability.

Analytics and Visualization:
  • Implement analytical solutions using Azure analytics services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports to visualize and communicate insights from data.
  • Utilize advanced analytics techniques to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.

Database Engineering:
  • Apply strong database engineering principles to design and optimize Azure SQL databases and data warehouses.
  • Implement data partitioning, indexing, and compression strategies for optimal performance.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

SSIS Integration:
  • Leverage hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to enhance data integration capabilities.
  • Develop SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks.
  • Integrate SSIS solutions with Azure data services for seamless data movement.

Leadership and Decision Making:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, mentoring them in best practices and methodologies.
  • Make informed decisions regarding data architecture, technology selection, and project prioritization.
  • Estimate project timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables accurately.

Project Management:
  • Manage multiple project tracks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12 to 18 years of experience in data modeling, ETL development, analytics, and visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of database concepts, with expertise in Azure or AWS data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions, estimate project efforts, and provide leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
