Job Description:

What you'll do

Financial Responsibilities

  • Oversee Monthly Accounting and Controlling activities performed by the Global Business Services (P2P, R2R and Payroll)
  • Ensure Monthly financial reporting is accurate and represents a true presentation of the operations, in accordance with US GAAP
  • Provide high level Cash Flow requirements.
  • Address all local requests and support required by finance.
  • Ensure compliance for local Statutory Reporting requirements.
  • Manage GST, WHT and CIT compliance and ensure GBS are kept abreast of any changes in Legislation.
  • Support inquiries from IHQ in Switzerland and liaise closely with SMEs in the Organization (don't reinvent the wheel)
  • Ensure compliance with Internal Controls (SOX 440)
  • Support Internal Audit activities
  • Seek guidance for accounting for nonroutine / discrete accounting transactions.

Business Planning Responsibilities

  • Prepare robust Annual Operating Plans and periodic Forecasts and present to Senior Management for review and approval.
  • Ensure accountability within Functions / Cost Center owners for managing and achieving AOP/ Forecasts
  • Implement / update changes to plans provided by Senior Management and ensure there is focus to achieve such changes

Operational Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for Corporate Functions (Corporate Accounting, Business Planning, Tax, Legal HR, IT and Procurement)
  • Support Affiliate Day to day operations managing spend in accordance with approved plans.
  • Involvement in other aspects of running the operations.

Member of the Affiliate Management Team:

  • Member of the Statutory Board of Directors
  • manage Corporate Secretarial process with CITO (AGM's etc.)
  • Responsible for design and implementation of local Finance Policy & Procedures and ensuring training, implementation, and adherence throughout the affiliate.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions
  • Participate in MT meetings and backfill for the Affiliate Head in their absence.
  • Ensure signature authorities are followed for Contracts etc.
  • Ensure there is transparency and awareness of business matters / issues with the MT.

Qualifications:

Experience of 10+ years in Finance and Accounting.

Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting, master's degree preferred
