About the role:

As part of the UX team at Cvent, content designers bring empathy, delight, and a human-centered approach to UX design.

We do more than just look at the words.

We advocate for our users by collaborating with product designers, researchers, product managers, and more to craft a productnarrative that guides users through our products and gets them the information they need when they need it.

What you'll be doing:
Advocate for, and be an influential member of content design and UX throughout the organizationPartner in defining and driving the vision and strategy for UXCD as a practicePartner in defining and driving the vision and strategy for Cvent products at the platform level, and guiding implementation through productsMentor junior designers in developing key skills, and provide some career development guidanceActively participate in mentoring and other activities that actively contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, healthy team culture within UX as a wholeLead partnership and collaboration efforts with PMs, marketing, and other stakeholders to steer continuity and consistency of language across the Cvent suite of productsParticipate in business thinking discussions to identify and share in aligning UX objectives with business objectives, user needs, and revenue goalsLead content-focused research initiatives and analysis independently and in collaboration with UX Research, including delegating projects to junior designers to learn the sameReview and provide feedback to junior content designers that supports growth and change towards higher quality work

What we're looking for:
Bachelor or Master degree in English, Writing, Communications, Design, or related field8+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or related field (we're looking for the right person, even if they don't fit every requirement)A portfolio that shows off your content design and design thinking skillsContent design experience with a focus on software applicationsStrong leadership, strategic and analytical thinking, communication, problem solving, influencing, and interpersonal skillsSomeone who can lead and mentor junior content designersExperience in goal setting, coaching, and developing individuals to achieve targeted resultsPassion for creating a great user experience and improving people's lives through design and technologyExperience working with product designers, engineers, and product managersUnderstand human-centered design principles and techniquesAbility to see the big picture, but also pay attention to the detailsInterest in growth, learning, and receiving feedback to improve skillsStrong eye for grammar and a deep respect for content style, voice, and toneAbility to manage personal and project timelinesCan adapt to different situations and has strong emotional intelligence
